Retirement Card

I have a friend who is retiring in March but her surprise party is this week. I've known her since 1989 when we both started working at the same time in our school district's central library. She previously worked at one of the schools in our district so she has a few more years on me otherwise I'd be joining her!
She will be missed, but I'm pretty sure we'll be able to find her on any of our golf courses!

Everything I used to create this card came from The Angel Company. I used a retired image which I colored in with the Prismacolortm Watercolor Pencils found on page 121 of the spring/summer 2008 TAC inspiration book & catalogue. The cardstock is from the Greens: Monochromatic cardstocks on page 114, and the brads are on page 113. The Basic Grey is no longer available from TAC.

pink and black

This card is the product of another sketch drawing challenge. I love the black and pink combination. I don't usually make tall cards but this design really works with the tall card better than the shorter A2 sized cards.
For this project, I used:
*Bazzill pinks
*scrap pieces of black cardstock
*three black brads
*adhesive
*TAC Inks - color: Adobe
*TAC Stamp set: Hello Blocks (retired)

Birthday card

This card was made using the same sketch idea as the card shown in the January 5th entry. I needed two birthday cards; one will go to a great-uncle, and one to my brother.

It is my hope in 2008 to have all my cards made and sent before the holiday or occasion arrives.
I am chronically late with my greetings simply because I have a hard time buying cards anymore and so I need to make my own. I just need to get ahead and be ready. For example, my brother's birthday is in February. I think I'll be on time this year!

Happy Day

I belong to a Yahoo Group
of TAC Demonstrators
and we are issued

The ingredients to make this card include:
*white card
*light blue and dark blue paper - Monochromatic Cardstocks: Blues (V-45)(page 114 of The Angel Company Inspiration Book and Catalogue) $7.95 for 25 sheets.
*Basic Grey: Sublime Collection (TAC no longer carries this collection).
*circle punch
*flower punch
*adhesive
*"happy day" is from an alphabet stamp set from CTMH.

I'm blogging!

It's a new year and time to try new things and for me, blogging is a new thing. I'm going to use this site to share the cards I create and techniques that I've learned and hopefully along the way, some of you will be inspired or motivated to create your own art.

I am an Independent Demonstrator for The Angel Company (TAC). This is a great company to work with and TAC has everything you need for card making, scrapbooking, and just plain having fun. You can see an online catalogue and even order what you need at LoriS.ismyangel.net
