Sympathy Card

Sympathy cards are difficult to create in that they are so personal. You want just the right card and I have to admit, up until now I usually went to the Hallmark store to purchase one. I decided to join a "sympathy card" swap in hopes of getting ideas from other TAC Angels. I don't have any stamps specifically for sympathy cards however with the help of my computer, I think I did okay with this design.

Recipe:
stamp: T2929-Butterfly Swirls (p. 53 of the current TAC catalogue)
cardstock: TAC
Versamark Ink
silver embossing powder
"with sympathy" font: Edwardian Script

New Christmas Stamp

Are you ready for Christmas? I have three cards made using this stamp set and card design. This card is what I used in a "new Christmas stamp" swap.
Recipe:
stamp: T2962 Joy of Christmas (p. 97 of the current TAC catalogue)
cardstock: greens (p. 112), white Bazzil
ink: TAC Cactus (retired)
red scrapper's floss
I cut the letters of JOY out and placed the letters on cardstock. In other cards, I left the letters joined. I prefer them cut out. It takes more time but the results are worth it.

Favorite New Stamp

I created this card for a "favorite new stamp" swap.
Recipe:
stamp: T2983 Asian Art (p. 41 of the current TAC catalogue)
cardstock: reds (p. 112)
paper: Juliette (p. 38)
Ink: TAC Sunwashed Red (retired)
The other stamps in this set are beautiful and I like the characters however I have no idea what they mean!

It's time for school!

I haven't posted in awhile because I've been busy at school trying to get things ready for the first day on Monday. I'm a Library Media Tech in an elementary school and I'm getting a new circulation system. It's going to be fun learning all great things I can do with this system, but the best part of my job is all the great books at my fingertips.
I will post a few cards tomorrow.
