Color Challenge

I made this card from a Monday Motivational on the Paper Wings site. The challenge was to use the colors of red, blue, and cream. I had to put the card on the red background so you could see it once it was posted. I love how this turned out, and I intend to make more of this design and color combo using up the scraps. I'm also thinking squares, ovals... Christmas colors, Halloween colors...hmmmmm.

Paper Doll

This little girl is actually a paper doll created by Melanie Montes de Oca. You can download the paper doll plus different outfits off the downloads tab at www.theangelcompany.net. Before I printed the girl, I shrunk her to 55% so she'd fit on a regular size card. I intended to use this as a card...that's why I shrunk the girl! But, now I'm thinking I'll print the girl at 100% and re-make this on an 8 X 10 to put on my library door at school. I really like how this turned out. I'll take a picture of the bigger version once it's hung on my door at school and re-post it here.
School starts on Monday, August 17th! WeeDoggies! This seemed like a short summer!!!!

Butterfly Swirls

Here's a birthday card for my aunt-in-law. I used the Butterfly Swirls stamp; Genevieve papers, a retired hostess set for the sentiment; and my new favorite ink -- Brilliance Dew Drops. I happened to have some old crystal embellishments, and I glued one on the butterfly head.

July 4th

Happy 4th of July! I love this holiday, and I have many fond memories of celebrating this day in my youth living in northern Iowa.
The size of the image on the left is deceiving because it's actually ATC size. I've been trying to make a "complimentary" ATC with every card I make. I have quite a few ATCs now but I haven't traded any.
The stamp images are from retired TAC sets. The flag image comes from a set of summery images that are perfect for making inchies.
